Busy Press

Busy Press

Diversion Press, not yet three years old, also has a busy fall. Diversion Press attended two conventions. The first was the Annual Trigg County Women’s Show Event in November and then we attended sixth annual Festival of Books at the Kentucky Gateway Museum Center in Maysville, Kentucky on Saturday December 11, 2010.

In the last months we released Broomsticks by Sean McHugh and Katie McHugh Parker, Halloween Kentucky Style by Charles Suddeth, Wanderland by Robert Bresloff, and An Easy Guide to Making Homemade Baby Food by Adrianne Hunter.

This week we are releasing One Woman’s Life by Irena Pratis and Far Corners by Kathleen Bullock.

We also created a new imprint, Yellow Snow, and Ryan Nemeth, and his book I Can Make Out With Any Girl Here, is the first author on that label.

Finally we have just finished our poetry contest and are putting the book together now, winners will be announced soon. The horror anthology, After Dark: A Collection of Haunting Tales, is also ready for publication. In addition we have two more books nearing their release date, Visitation Rights by Pamela Laskin and If You Don’t Like Worms, Keep Your Mouth Shut by Linda Loegel. All four of these books will be available early in the new year.

Speaking of 2011 . . . we have some more big plans for next year. We are planning even more author and press events. A new focus on both academic books and poetry books—single author poetry books! Throughout 2011 we will also have several new books coming out, including Notary Public Enemy by Tony Iovino, Grounded by Thomas Earl Allen, and a novel by Candace Saunders.
